I brought my car into Carl's shop because the second gear was grinding. He removed the transmission in a timely fashion and showed me that the 1st and 2nd gear synchros were bad. He replaced these along with a couple of transmission bearings and got the car back to me after only a couple of days. The transmission shifts perfectly now.
